Incepted in October 2020, Amala Partners is a fast-growing firm, with a bold and independent mindset, aligned with the projects of entrepreneurs and investors it supports. It now has about forty professionals.
In 2023, Amala Partners acted on more than 30 transactions, double the number of the previous year.
In total, the Managing Partners advised on more than 500 M&A transactions, financing operations and GP solutions

Jean-Baptiste Marchand
Managing Partner
Jean-Baptiste is a graduate of ESCP, specialised in M&A consulting for over 20 years. He founded Amala Partners in 2020 with the conviction that the market would be receptive to an entrepreneurial investment banking project focused on the fundamentals of the business, able support entrepreneurs and investors effectively in all their transactions.

Numa Bourragué
Managing Partner
Numa is a graduate of EM Lyon. In 2011, he founded eCAP Partner, an independent M&A consulting firm specializing in Tech and Media sectors. He joined Amala in April 2025.

Jean-Michel Cagin
Managing Partner
Jean-Michel graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Techniques Avancées and holds a Master of Science from the University of Tokyo. For nearly 30 years, he has been advising senior management and investors in their strategies and operations, mainly in the technology (software, tech platforms, digital marketing, IT Services and gaming), media and telecommunications sectors.

Pierre-Yves Dargaud
Managing Partner
Pierre-Yves holds a Master’s degree in Management and a Master’s degree in Financial Engineering from EM Lyon Business School. He is active in the software and IT services sectors. He combines a background as an investor with that of M&A advisor on divestitures and external growth transactions.

Martine Depas
Senior Partner
Martine is a Sciences Po graduate. She specialises in the education and training sector, from primary to higher education, as well as in professional training and EdTech. She has 30 years of experience in M&A consulting in France and internationally, supporting investment funds, entrepreneurs and corporates in the sector.

Benjamin Giner
Managing Partner
Benjamin is a graduate of HEC and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Métiers. He has been working in the field of M&A for over 20 years. He advises and assists entrepreneurs, family offices and investment funds in France and abroad on their operations of all sizes.

Manuel Lasry
Managing Partner
Manuel holds a Master’s degree in Finance and a Master’s 2 in Corporate Finance and Financial Engineering (225) from the University of Paris IX Dauphine. He has worked in M&A for over 25 years and has also developed an entrepreneurial project. He advises and supports entrepreneurs, family offices and investment funds in their transactions, with a particular focus on primary transactions and the food and packaging sectors.

Alexis Matheron
Managing Partner
Alexis is a graduate of EDHEC Business School. He has over 20 years of experience in M&A and corporate finance, both in France and internationally, with a particular focus on B2B services and industrial, building and environmental engineering.

Nicolas de Nazelle
Managing Partner
Nicolas is a graduate of University of Paris-X (France), University of Reading (United Kingdom) and New York City Baruch College (United States). In nearly 20 years, Nicolas has led more than 100 fundraising missions, secondary transactions and strategic mandates on behalf of Private Equity fund managers and investors in Europe and North America. He is in charge of the GP Services practice within AMALA.
